That’s dope, you’re dope, he’s dope, yo she is doooooope!
The word “dope” can mean different things to different people, but in this case it is used to describe something or someone great, excellent,or impressive!
I can’t count how many times I use this word in a day. I pretty much use it to describe anything that I approve of, so why not crochet the word on a few things?
There really isn’t a spectacular story about how this project came to mind, I just use the word…like…alot. :LOL

MATERIALS
F/5-3.75MM Crochet Hook
Black – 100% Cotton Yarn (Sample made with Sugar’N Cream 100% Cotton Yarn)
White – 100% Cotton Yarn
Grey – 100% Cotton Yarn
Stitch Marker
Needle for weaving ends
Scissors
Zipper

ABBREVIATIONS AND TECHNIQUES
ch = Chain
mSC = Modified Single Crochet
sl st = Slip Stitch
sts = Stitches
st = Stitch
blo = Back Loop Only
Chain 38 to create the foundation chain with grey yarn.
Row 1: 1 mSC in the 2nd Ch from the hook ; 1 mSC in the next 36 sts. (Rotate to begin working on the other side of the foundation chain.) 1 additional mSC in the last st worked ; 1 mSC in each of the next 36 sts. DO NOT JOIN. (74 mSC)
Row 2-5: 1 mSC in each st around. DO NOT JOIN. Add color (black) towards the end of row 5. (74 mSC)
Row 6-10: Begin using graph pattern to complete rows ; Add color (white) towards the end of row 10. (74 mSC)
Row 11-14: Continue using graph pattern to complete rows. (74 mSC)
Row 15-20: Working with white yarn only, 1 mSC in each st around ; Add in black (or border color of choice) towards the end of row 20.
Row 21-22: 1 mSC in each stitch with border color. (black)
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Sew on Zipper
