Who doesn’t need an oversized crochet cardigan in their closet right? The Stella Cable Cardi is long and just slightly oversized enough for you to wear it with almost any outfit. This cardigan features a beautiful cable detailing that adds just the right amount of chic to the cardigan without being overpowering.
The Yarn
Being that you’ll be crocheting something that will be next to your skin, it’s important that you invest in a yarn that won’t be irritating so that you can actually enjoy what you’ve created. That is a huge reason why I chose to use Gloss DK yarn to crochet this cardigan. This yarn is sold exclusively by WeCrochet/KnitPicks, and I promise it’s worth the purchase. Gloss DK is made with a blend of soft merino wool and silk that is not only delicate and soft, but also gives off a beautiful sheen that will show through in your finished project. The blend of wool and silk also makes for a great drape when crocheting garments. Gloss DK comes in a wide variety of colors from deep blues to the coolest grays, and comes in balls of approximately 123 yards/50 grams. For the Stella Cable Cardi you will need 13 to 18 balls of the Gloss DK yarn to complete your cardigan depending on the size you’ll be crocheting. The Inspiration
If you’ve been following me for a while, then you pretty much know the reason why I choose to create crochet patterns for garments. But, if you’re new around here (welcome <3) let me fill you in. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and what you wear is 50% of that battle. The Stella Cable Cardi is no different. Ranging in bust sizes from 32″ to 64″, and easily customizable if needed, it’s the perfect project for anyone who wants a fabulous cardigan.
